Featuring the latest racing specifications, the Kyosho Ultima RB5 represents the ultimate in pure 2WD racing buggies. Chassis - The chassis plate is light and strong, featuring a specially formulated carbon fiber composite for the best balance of performance and durability. Strategic braces molded into the chassis enhance the stiffness without adding any unnecessary weight. Separate front and rear
Transmission - The new transmission features a smaller, more compact housing that keeps the motor as low and close to the transmission as possible, which reduces CG and improves bump handing. The three-gear transmission features an internal ball differential that uses standard 3/32-inch diff balls and 1/16-inch thrust balls. The differential is also externally adjustable, and a dust cover fits over the adjustment holes so the thrust bearing lasts much longer. An injection molded gear cover is included, which better fits the motor plate to minimize dust and debris for longer gear life.
Front Suspension - Longer, straighter and symmetrical suspension arms connect to a narrow front bulkhead. The bumper/skid plate, suspension block, nose plate and front bulkhead all come together to form a very rigid assembly, to which the front suspension arms mount. The standard position of the suspension mount produces 25 degrees of hinge pin angle in the front suspension arms, but simply flipping the suspension mount increases the hinge pin angle to 30 degrees. The added flexibility of having adjustable hinge pin angles means you have more options when it comes to setting up your car. Like the rear arms, a single replacement arm can be used on either side of the car.
Rear Suspension - The rear suspension arms are symmetrical so a single replacement arm can be used on either side of the car, saving money and space inside your pit box because you don't need to carry as many replacement parts. The inside of the arms are attached to the chassis using separate suspension mounts, which will allows anti-squat adjustment. The rear wheel hubs feature three lower hinge-pin holes, which allow modification of the ride height with minimal disturbance of the suspension geometry. Vertical ball studs for the both the inner and out rod ends of the upper link mean the rear suspension geometry can be fine-tuned with shims.

The RRR is a further refinement of the very successful RR model. The overall gear ratio has been changed to further optimize to keep the .12 engines in their powerband. The taller ratio moves the power band from low end acceleration to the mid range and top end performance. This allows the RRR to hook up off the turn and drive much easier. The center of gravity has been lowered and the weight bias has been moved forward to make the RRR pull hard off the corner and switch directions much quicker. Add to this more adjustability in the suspension and lower rotating mass and you have a winner. Revamped drive system with total focus on achieving lower rotating mass. Small pulleys front and rear allow for lower differential mounting, therefore lowering the center of gravity and rotating mass. Front one-way included. Remodeled 2 speed with .8 module gear. (finer pitch) Upper arm pivots have 4-step cam adjustment for easy roll center changes. Diff unit can be installed or removed with just four bolts for fast and easy replacement. Using track-tested tuning setups from top European nitro racers, as well as newly engineered features and design elements aimed at the non US tracks, the 8IGHT 2.0 EU Buggy Kit is professionally dialed and ready for assembly.

The 8IGHT 2.0 EU features king pin spindles and carriers made from black, hard-anodized aluminum. The spindles and carriers feature 5 degrees of inclination and 12 degrees of caster for improved steering control.

The front and rear shock towers on the Losi 8IGHT 2.0 EU feature additional laid down shock locations. These additional mounting locations help to improve vehicle handling by smoothing out vehicle response on high speed tracks. The rear shock towers' camber link positions have the capability of increasing or decreasing rear camber gain for various track conditions.

The 8IGHT 2.0 EU Kit features metal servo inserts for steering and throttle to eliminate servo horns issues. The buggy also comes with 8 differently sized servo inserts, to accommodate all servos.

The wheel hexes and wheel nuts on the 8IGHT 2.0 EU Kit have been hard-anodized black, and the covered wheel nuts help to keep debris out of the axle. The 8IGHT 2.0 EU features a redesigned 8IGHT 2.0 European-style body designed to create more down force on high speed European tracks.
