In 1946 Mr. Yoshio Tamiya founded a saw mill in Shizuoka City Japan. Fourteen years later Tamiya began to produce models. In 1976 Tamiya released the ever popular 1/12 scale Porsche 934 Turbo RC model which kicked off the RC craze. RC has never been the same since.
